NEWS RELEASE :
8th July 2023
NEW KS3 Forest School
Forest Schooling UK are delighted to announce we will start accepting referrals for a new cohort of children in KS3 (those in Years 7,8 &9). This is in addition to those already in our successful KS1 & KS2 groups.
These sessions would be ideal for those children struggling in mainstream school settings. Referrals will be accepted through the normal process via our website. Children should be referred directly via their school settings or via the Achieving for Children pathways.
The new session will take place at our Hogsmill Nature Reserve site starting on a Monday afternoon from October 30th 2023.
Who are we?
We utilise the Forest School Practice to provide an Alternative Provision in Kingston Upon Thames. We concentrate on offering children struggling in Mainstream Schools in Y1- Y9, a respite break from challenging behaviours.

Children that need extra support away from the traditional mainstream school environment and curriculum benefit from spending time in our safe space. We have specialist staff who have developed outdoor activities to engage the individual child. We encourage emotional regulation and give the child coping strategies before a return to their placement. We ask
that the child is with us for a minimum of 19 weeks up to one academic year.
