Location: Forest Schooling UK CIC, Kingston Upon Thames
Salary & Hours: £ 17.00PH Monday -Thursday 9.00am - 12.15pm
Contract Type: Self Employed
Start Date: Sept 2025, with possibility of some casual hours prior to start date.
Are you passionate about supporting young people who have struggled in mainstream education? We are seeking an Emotional & Social Support Worker to join our unique Forest School, working outdoors with children aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role would suit a former youth worker, teacher or teaching assistant, with strong experience supporting young people with additional needs. You will support our behaviour strategies, support emotional regulation, and help create a nurturing outdoor learning environment where every child can thrive.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has SEMH experience and a trauma-informed approach
Is resilient, calm, and consistent in challenging situations
Can build strong, trusting relationships with students
Is excited by outdoor learning and holistic education
