Berrylands School Referral Process Explained

Young people aged 7–16 may only be considered for referral to Berrylands School if they are already known to us through our Alternative Provision (AP) and have a clear presenting need relating to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Our provision is specifically designed to support young people whose primary barriers to education relate to emotional regulation, behaviour, mental health, trauma, or social interaction.

We work closely with Achieving for Children and accept referrals through the local authority pathway ONLY. In most cases, young people referred to us will already have an allocated caseworker, be in our AP and be progressing through, or already known to, the EHCP pathway.

Referrals that do not evidence an established SEMH need and prior engagement through our AP will not be considered.
Please contact your caseworker for more information.
