We’re not endorsing any of the organisations listed, but we know they can be useful starting points for parents navigating SEN support. The list isn’t exhaustive, and it never will be — the sector evolves too quickly for that. If you know a resource we should add, feel free to get in touch and help us keep it relevant. 

The Cedars Primary School

The Cedars Primary School is a special needs school for children who have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) with a primary need of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) difficulties. For a large number of our pupils these difficulties co-occur with other areas of need including autistic spectrum condition, speech, language and communication needs and ADHD.

Aspire Learning

We provide inspirational specialist SEND education to pupils aged 5-18 years old who have needs related to social, emotional, mental health, Autistic Spectrum disorder, speech, language and communication difficulties together with cognitive and learning challenges.

Grafham Grange School

Grafham Grange School is a special school set in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham. Our school offers education for up to 70 students, referred from local authorities across the South of England.

Limpsfield Grange School

Limpsfield Grange School is the UK’s only school solely for autistic girls. We are an outstanding special school, maintained by Surrey County Council, where day and residential places are available for students aged 11 – 16.

St Dominic's School

We are a school for children and young people with complex needs. We specialise in giving everyone a pathway to achieve ambitious goals and live life to the full.

Strathmore School

Strathmore School is a happy, thriving, oversubscribed and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities.

Epsom Downs Primary School And Children's Centre

We believe that we are a unique school, catering for children from 0-11 years of age, during which time we really get to know all of our children and help them on their individual learning journeys.

Wishmore Cross School

The Academy is a special school for young people all of whom have a statement identifying social, emotional and mental health difficulties as their primary need.

Dysart School

Dysart is a provision for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning disabilities, from within the Royal Borough of Kingston and beyond.

Malden Oaks School & Tuition Service

Malden Oaks is a specialist, and innovative SEMH provision for up to 150 Kingston and Richmond students aged 11-19 who benefit from an alternative approach to mainstream education.

Wandle Valley Academy

You could say that Wandle Valley Academy is a training school for young people aged 5 -16 with ‘superpowers’. It is our intention to support and guide all our pupils in how to manage these super powers positively and teach them how to use them to support their learning and that of others. We aim to do this within and alongside our curriculum, with a number of interventions and therapies specifically tailored to support their individual pupil needs. We are actually pretty good at this and have a great record of our young people leaving us and becoming amazing individuals; ‘Super Heroes’.

Capella House School

We are a unique Special School meeting the needs of learners with Speech, Language and Communication needs who deserve the very best support, opportunities and encouragement in order to reach their full potential. Our school opened in September 2019, in a new building with great facilities.

Clarendon School

Clarendon is a day special academy for pupils aged 4-16 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs including Autism. There are places for 140 young people (50 Primary and 90 Secondary), usually in classes of around 12.

Unified Academy

Unified Academy is a school for boys aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs. Some students also have moderate learning and attachment difficulties. This means that students struggle to form strong, healthy and sustainable relationships with others and can present with challenging behaviour. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Nightingale Community Academy

Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. All pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan.

Maypole School

We are a school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and most of our pupils will also have some combination of additional complex needs, such as Anxiety, ASD, ADHD, FASD, PDA, OCD, ODD, Toxic Childhood Stress / Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Attachment difficulties, Developmental Trauma or Delay, Speech and Language difficulties, Cognition and Learning difficulties, Specific Learning Difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia; and more.

Bramley Oak Academy

We make every effort to ensure that disadvantaged students receive outstanding support and believe that our core business is to ensure our students make at least good progress as a result of good or outstanding teaching.

St Philip's School

St Philip’s is a school where individuals are valued for themselves and where all are expected to give of their best.

SENDIASS
