Well, we never really went away! As you know during the full lockdown we had key-worker children and our regular Forest School children on site and an online 'Learning Hub'. You can see what we got up to by watching our two minute video updates on OWL TV
We are so happy that since the start of September the school is fully open and we are able to accommodate everyone for their regular OWL and Forest School sessions. Of course we are adhering to the guidelines from Public Health England, but as we are outside in our open spaces, not a great deal has changed for the children.
We will be concentrating on all the children’s emotional health and mental well-being during the sessions as they return to school and pick up their friendships and goals. We have developed activities to encourage the children to explore their feelings and thoughts, when they're ready to do so, about the situation they find themselves in and we are ready to support and guide them through the process. In addition we have added an extra Forest School session and will be starting new 1:1 sessions with some children who need that little bit of extra support.
Above all, our main aim is to make Owl and Forest School as enjoyable and fun an experience as we can! We will continue to share photographs and updates here and on our social media channels as usual, so please follow us.
